Unlock the full power of the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) V4.0 with a course taught by someone who doesn’t just teach the model — they use it every day to help organisations improve performance, reduce risk and deliver measurable business value.
This ISACA certified Building Organizational Capability course gives you a complete, practical introduction to the CMMI framework. You’ll explore the full set of core practice areas plus all eight special interest Domains, brought to life through real world examples, hands on activities and shared experiences from both your instructor and fellow participants.

If you want a course that is professional, practical and grounded in real consulting experience, this is it.
Who is this Course For?
The BOC course is perfect for anyone new to CMMI — no prior experience or knowledge required. It is ideal for professionals who want to understand how CMMI strengthens delivery capability, improves consistency and supports organisational growth. This course is designed to provide full preparation for the CMMI Practitioner Certification Exam, and this is an essential pre-requisite for:

Participation on a CMMI Appraisal Team
Achieving the CMMI Practitioner Certification is an essential pre-requisite for anyone wishing to take part on a CMMI Appraisal team looking at any domain or domains for a formally recognised appraisal up to Maturity Level 3.
Advanced CMMI Study or High Maturity Appraisal Team Participation
If you wish to carry out any further CMMI training or if you intend to serve on a CMMI Appraisal team looking at any high-maturity practices (Level 4 or 5) then you will need to take the High Maturity Concepts course. The BOC is a pre-requisite for this course .

Taking and Using the CMMI Building AI Maturity Course
The new Building AI Maturity course explores the new AI Maturity model content in the latest V4.0 version of the CMMI Model. If you want to understand how AI best practice has been integrated with the existing framework or if you want to be on an Appraisal team looking at the AIM content as part of an appraisal, you will need to take the BAIM course and again, the BOC is an essential pre-requisite.

What Our Customers Say
Additional Information
Course Format
Please note, although the BOC course has recently been compressed to a 3-day class, we have elected to continue to schedule 4 days to ensure we provide comprehensive coverage of the course material and sufficient time to debate and discuss key concepts. For more experienced students who perhaps do not need the extra time, we structure our courses in a 3+1 day format.
The main part of the course will be completed in the first 3 days as per the official class schedule, after which students will become eligible to take the exam immediately and can end their training at that point. Those that would benefit from a deeper dive into some of the key concepts can then stay for the 4th day if they wish.
The class format will be discussed in the orientation session and if all students want to attend all 4 days, we will revert back to the older 4-day agenda. See our blog post for further details on this decision.
Time Zones and Class Times
Classes run from 9am to 5pm in the nominated time zone. All our courses are scheduled in the US Eastern Time zone unless otherwise stated.
We appreciate that this is not always ideal for students in other parts of the world and are happy to schedule courses in other time zones where demand exists (we are unfortunately bound by the CMMI Institute's policy on minimum class sizes and need at least 3 students for a course to be viable).
We are currently implementing a ‘waiting list’ approach for people who would prefer a course in the Central European Time Zone. If this is of interest to you, fill in the Waiting List form at the link below giving us some dates that you are available and a date by which your training must be complete and if we can set up a viable course that meets your needs, we will do so.
