Certified High Maturity Lead Appraisers
Excellence in Measurement Technology have some of the most experienced Certified Lead Appraisers in the world and have the capability and expertise to plan and undertake appraisals for any CMMI model scope, including high-maturity appraisals and appraisals for the Medical Device Discovery Appraisal Program (MDDAP).

Certified Appraisal Team Members
The credibility and objectivity of an appraisal’s findings hinges around the credibility and objectivity of the appraisal team. Whilst there is considerable value in having people from within the organization form part of the team undertaking the appraisal of that organization, there are also many benefits from employing external team members from outside to serve alongside the internal team members.
External appraisal team members bring with them many benefits:
• Objectivity: External team members are not affiliated directly to your organization and will provide an objective and dispassionate look at your processes through ‘fresh eyes’.
• Experience: External team members may have gone through many appraisals and are familiar not just with the appraisal process but also with understanding how to find and apply objective evidence across many different business contexts and market sectors.
• Coaching: Pairing internal team members with experienced external team members is a great way of coaching and mentoring them to help build up your own organizational expertise and skills in process appraisals.
• Credibility: Experience has shown that the results of teams which combine internal and external team members tends to be viewed as more intrinsically credible than those formed by purely internal or external team members.
We can supplement your appraisal team with highly experienced team members who have experience of serving on many appraisals, both virtually and on-site. We can draw on a pool of team members to match their skills and experience with your particular business context. All our team members are certified to at least CMMI Professional level and all have training and experience of working in both low and high maturity organizations.
Post Appraisal Action Planning
For many organizations, the delivery of the appraisal doesn’t mark the end of their CMMI journey but the beginning. The purpose of an appraisal is to uncover strengths and weaknesses in an organization’s operational processes when compared to the best practice managed within CMMI, so when an appraisal concludes and the organization is presented with a set of findings identifying areas where their processes can be improved, the next task is to process this information and devise a plan to address those findings which are of highest priority.

Process Improvement Coaching & Mentoring
One of the best ways to transfer knowledge and expertise to an organization is to embed an experienced and knowledgeable coach or mentor into the organization to work alongside the internal team.
